Josephine Lorelle is a textile and surface pattern designer based in Aotearoa, New Zealand. She draws inspiration from the diverse flora within the urban environment in Aotearoa. Her practice focuses on the seasonal changes, the intricate details, and the transitory beauty of flowers as they open, bloom, and litter pavements with petal confetti. The urban flora inspires her painterly, textured designs, infusing each piece with graceful movement and visual intrigue. Most days you can find her wandering, photographing, and enjoying the flora of her local neighbourhood.
